Paper Towns by John Green

What’s up with people and their passions thing? Yeap, I love mysteries and this book, Paper towns by John Green once said “I could never stop thinking that maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became on e.”
  • It’s not wise to run away from home
As Margo Roth Spiegelman suddenly disappeared after she and Quentin last night’s ingenious campaign of revenge, none of her family members actually cared about it because Margo had done it many times. She did leave some clues for her family like purposely put her Mickey Mouse doll on her bed while she went to Disneyland on her own. Sadly no one realised it. Quentin, her neighbour aka her longest friend since when they were small never lose faith in searching of her. What I’m trying to say is Margo’s behavior is indeed childish and she should not run away from home just to get her parents.  Even Quentin’s parents understand why is she doing this, they even offered her to stay at their house if she wants. Never run away just to make people who care about you worried.
  • Time is needed to fully know a person
The idea of accepting that people are the way they are, and we can interpret others a million different ways but in the end, our imaginings about them could be very wrong is an important one. For some reasons, Margo and Quentin never talked to each other after they found a dead body in the park and they soon drifted apart.  I feel John used a narrative way to get that message across clearly, and emphasize the way in which Q sees Margo, so we understand it more. This searching for Margo adventure makes all of them know Margo better.
  •  It’s good to have friends
Them.  As in Quentin, Lacey, Ben and Radar. They skipped their graduation day just when Quentin had a clue where Margo could have been which is Algae. They drove to Algae within twenty-one hours. In the end, they found her. Writing on her little black notebook, so not the Margo they ever known. Margo was glad that they came after her, someone who actually cares about her, she was in tears when she had to say goodbye with Quentin. Friends forever, I guess.

In my opinion, Looking for Alaska by John Green is slightly similar to Paper towns but I prefer this more. Paper towns is great. You guys should read this!
