Never Look Away - Linwood Barclay

The book I have read for this month is 'Never Look Away' by the Canadian novelist, Linwood Barclay. A theme park family outing had led to the disappearance of Jan Richler, wife of David Harwood. Worst of all, no evidence could show that she was ever in the park and now police are suspecting Dave as the murderer of his wife. With a child in the picture, Dave must find ways to declare his innocence without putting his family in as much jeopoardy as his wife did to him. In true honesty, Dave should have never looked away.

The story was loaded with interesting events. However the biggest one would be the confrontation between Jan Richler and David Harwood. Or should I say the confrontation between Constance Tattinger and David Harwood ; and with that debunks one of the secrets his wife had held from him for the past three years of marriage. The atmosphere was tense. Emotions flared with no restrictions. The thoughts of regret and 'what-if's filled the air in the room of their son Ethan.

This was the first time the two had met since the disappearance. Dave, being dumbfounded after getting bits and pieces of information over a long stretch of time, could not not let this new wave of information about his wife sink in so subtly. He had questions that needed to be answered. He had emotions that needed to be resolved. In this event, he had managed to do so.
