Mirrorscape

I've always had a passion for fantasy novels.To me, fantasy novels are always teeming with infinite,wild and insane creativity and ideas that will blow your mind.Fantasy novels are like a dream.They surpass the limitations bound by the law of physics and understanding,and the books are only bound to your imagination and creativity.Author Mike Wilks, had exceptionally and skillfully produce a novel brimming with wonderful and creative ideas,that is: Mirrorscape. The first book of the Mirrorscape trilogy,had caught my full attention,so i decided to write the lesson learnt in this wonderful avant-garde novel.

This story is about Mel,a gifted and talented painter,was apprenticed to Ambrosius Blank, one of Vlam's most skillful painter. As he was a son to a village weaver,and live in a world where 'luxuries',or also know as 'Pleasure' that are controlled by the Mystery,he was thrilled to leave his dull future as a village weaver behind and explore his extraordinary talents in painting with the help of Ambrosius Blank.However, rivalries grew among the other apprentices because of his extraordinary prowess in painting,especially the Head apprentices.As the story goes on,Mel,and his two friends, Ludo and Wren,discover a wonderful yet dangerous secret.By drawing a strange triangle sign on a painting,a person can go into the world of paintings and arts,or also know as Mirrorscape by Ambrosius.

I've learn some interesting lessons in this story,and to apply these into our daily life s really going to make a big change.In this story, Ludo, a friend of Mel betrayed him by giving his locations and whereabouts to the Head apprentice because the Head would threaten to cast aspersion on his family name because of a past mistake.I learn that one most not be a coward and stand up against the opponent.Although he had been afraid of the head apprentice,but because his realization of his betrayal to his friend disgusted him,he confess his undoings to Mel and decided to join against Mel to against the head

After the fateful event where Mel and the others discover the secrets of the painting,he is driven by raw determination and perseverance in order to unearth the hidden magic.Although there were times where he faced adversity,his determination show no sign of abatement.I learn that in order to achieve something,a person must be determined in seeking out without being stopped by obstacles.

Last but  not least, we must assist our friends in time of need.Although Wren was putting her career in danger by helping her friends in discovering the mystery of a hidden magic,she was persisting to help them.For example at times when the world of Mirrorscape is threaten by the mysteries,she did whatever she can to contribute in saving Mirrorscape despite putting herself in a perilous situation.A friend in need is a friend indeed.

In a nutshell,this novel is not only filled with raw,authentic ideas and imagination,it also contains lessons and moral values we can apply to our daily and hectic life.
